Thursday's News

8:00am Thursday. cloudy. Briefing delayed until 11:00am
9:30am I've uploaded both class's scores and the new overall results for yesterday.
10:00am Some tasks have been set. Details after briefing.

12:00 Well, even the MetMan isn't confident, so we will only post a task if it looks realistic.
13:58 Rebriefing on the grid, with tasks to suit the weather.

14:30 Bigger wings launching now. BNW - ETT - CHN - CAL - BC1, 100.7km
14:55 Smally wings now. BNW - EDG - CHN - CAL - BC1, 82.1km

16:10 DW called 10km, then 2 mins later W and J15 did too. Then two gliders called a start...
16:21 HBF 10km, 144 also, and one min later, 64 called. Just after another one started. LD called 10k at 16:23
16:25 F1 called 10km, and K5 also
16:28 JF is calling now
16:29 T54 just called a start! Then LS8 called 10km and AC called 8, 497 called two mins later as did MS.
16:33 then D8 started (!), as 888 called 10km, and 3 mins later FWW was 10km, along with 170; and the crew of KRF were just called
16:42 EHT is 10km out, 196 is only 5km out. Fair number of Open finishers
16:48 494 is 10km, one min later it's 775 and 10, and another min later its X8
16:53 F2 calls 10km, FMU has landed at EDG unfortunately
17:10 615 called 10km, but 846's crew were just called. No Sporties back yet. And 502 has started!!!
17:03 FLY, the first Sporty glider is 10k out! But the crew for 2ZC and 405 were called. And T19 called 10km one min later - that's two of them now. (T19 started after the FLY)
17:09 379, who started earlier, is 10km, and C29 who started later called too (and a lower handicap). And VE is just behind them. Will his handicap be low enough to beat them?
17:12 P10, after three starts, is 10km, with BD 8km out.

17:20 Looks like no-one else is starting...
17:27 290 is 6km, 911 is 10km

18:00 Downloading in progress

20:30 Most scores are on the doors. Open class had 29 finishers, nearly all gliders have been scored.
10:00 Sport class had nine finishers, all scored (but for some reason, I can't find a copy of the scores with FLY scored).
And remember, although we didn't go far, we did go today.
