8:00 am - Welcome to Day One.

Most pilots have arrived now, and we are setting tasks. More details after briefing. I'll update the entry list after briefing too.

11:15 - Big Boys are launching now, on BIE-DID-PAP-BC1, 214.4km; soon to be followed by Little Boys on BIE-DID-BED-BC1, 159.3km

12:12 - Opens started in rapid succession, many within the first five minutes

12:40 - Sporting ones are starting slowly now. They are having problems with the overcast weather arriving, but some are taking a relight. And HPM is the first land-out (13:40 ish), but there are a couple more.

13:59 and we have the first finishers calling 10km - DW, 64, J15, 131
14:03 and 10 has called 10km, followed by F2, then two mins later it's W, but the crew of 93 has been called for...
One or two of th esports Class are landing back to avoid the fields.
14:17 JF, K5, X8 and a few others are 10km out.. Behind them is S27, and behind him is LL

Looks like the Sporty ones should have started as soon as the gate opened - hanging around didn't work.

16:00 All pilots accounted for, and we are downloading loggers. And we even have a Sporty finisher, to keep the Open finishers company.

21:00 - We've had the BBQ, and the results are almost all on line now.
We had 27 finishers in the Open Class, but only two in the Sport Class - the overcast weather arrived just as the Sports were waiting for the start line to open, and got into the task area for the first leg as they started. If it had waited 20 mins to arrive, they'd have been okay. But that's gliding and the weather for you.
And as for poor Basil the Badge - 100.0 kph and finished 15th...
