Thursday's images

James Wilson in GW, won Thursday in the Sport Class HGG put in a good flight on Thursday to take overall first place, at the present moment R3 dumping water ballast on Thursday We have to keep the tuggies happy with the occasional picture of something with an engine Luke Hornsey is a regular visitor to our Regionals AA, currently holding on to second place overall, completes the task yet again T19 had a good day on Thursday, coming in third place. TupperwarePilot captured this great shot of a great sky at the comp.

Robert Cronk has answered our cry for help for images of 92 finishing. 92, having spent so long practicing for the Aerobatic comp, finished inverted! Notice that the top surface of the wing is clearly in shadow, showing he is inverted and not just an upside down image

92 rolling for his finish, inverted.  Strange people these aerobatic pilots. And here he is, finishing upside-down. Not many points for speed, lots for style. And now in close-up - note the wing shadow.

X8 finishing on Saturday's big task I saw a big white glider up there! 260 finishing on Saturday's big task. Sylvia came all the way from Jamaica, just to crew for 634.

Paula in 405 wondered why her crew were taking so long to find her. Below, left, shows why.

They wondered if it was safe to stop in this funny looking lay-by on a steep hill. It was in fact a runaway lorry stopper. And it certainly stopped the car. Someone got just a bit low before climbing away (Bicester is 267'), and yes that's the terrain outline showing at the bottom of the image.
