Summary of Committee Meeting Minutes – 3 November 2006
This is a summary of the minutes, a full set is posted outside the briefing room.
Motorglider
We are negotiating with the BGA over the basing of its Rotax Falke at Bicester
in 2007. We are also continuing to explore the purchase of our own motorglider.
Pricing of Services
Max’s assessment is being considered further. Following the introduction
of the Pawnee, we are losing money charging tows at £21/2000ft. With
effect from 1 Nov 06, 2000ft aerotows will cost £24.
Pawnee Crankshaft Mod.
Will be phased to coincide with the annual planned for Jan 07.
Volunteer Required to be Field Treasurer
We need a Field Treasurer. Volunteers should speak to Dickie Feakes or contact
him via dickie.feakes@btinternet.com
TA Visit 2-5 Oct.
Visit went very well. It was well organised, the visitors had lots of flying
and did much useful work for the club. There is likely to be a similar visit
next year.
Winch Operations
For low intensity operation, preferred method is with one winch using one
cable. The second winch will be available shortly and a second tractor is
being sought.
Weak Links
The CFI has said we will return to using black links and the associated
placarded speed in the K13s.
Volunteer for Glider Parking in the Hangar
We need a volunteer to co-ordinate glider parking in the hangar and to maintain
a waiting list for glider parking places. Volunteers should contact Dickie
Feakes as above.
Vote of Thanks for Assistance
The Committee recorded a vote of thanks for the efforts of Max Kirschner
and Michael Pettican throughout the summer season.
